TO Spring Festival

This one day event saw Feltro as an interactive and educational workshop for all ages, as well as a permanent “tree” installation at the entrance. Fun had by all!

"The Goods" on CBC Television

It was a pleasure to be featured on CBC’s daily television show The Goods as one of “the latest trends in home decor for kid”. Watch the whole episode here, or see more photos here.

Toronto Design Offsite Festival Feltro x gravitypope

One of our most versatile collaborations yet! The week long Toronto Design Offsite Festival saw Feltro put to use in all it’s playful glory around the gravitypope’s Queen and Ossington retail location in Toronto. Our Feltro retail window was a hit, as was the interactive playroom on the bottom floor. Thanks to all who came by!

Stony Brook University Lecture + Workshop

Feltro creator, Sam Kennedy, was honoured to give a lecture at Stony Brook University about his journey creating Feltro. The Stony Brook community was invited to hear Sam speak about the origins of the product’s design and the development of his playful and iterative design process. The lecture was accompanied by an interactive workshop for all ages.

Lakeshore Arts / Culture Days 2016

We were excited to be a part of Culture Days hosted by Lakeshore Arts in Etobicoke this year.

Feltro x MoMA

We were stoked to be invited to provide a Feltro workshop at MoMA New York as a part of their Art Lab: Process. The internationally recognized museum provided a great location for families, adults and kids alike, to get their hands on some Feltro. Thank you to all who visited!

Campaign for Wool at The Royal Ontario Museum

Feltro was pleased to be front and center for the launch of Wool Week in Canada, as a part of The Prince of Wales’ Campaign for Wool, in September. The Campaign endeavours to bring greater awareness to the many benefits of natural wool. Layered with colourful wool felt, our Premium wool felt tiles were part of an activation at the Royal Ontario Museum that saw hundred of visitors pass through and build their own Feltro creations.

Check out a video for the Campaign for Wool. Feltro appears at 1:17 (Video by U for Change)

FeltLAB

Last month an exciting partnership developed between Feltro and the award winning multi-disciplinary design and fabrication studio called STACKLAB. Tiles went on display in their showroom, adding some colour and vibrancy to the space.

Action Potential Lab

We've been lucky to work with Action Potential Lab camps on two occasions. These sessions started with a introduction to the world of Feltro (covering Sam the Inventor), the Feltro basics, and how to build.  Amazing to see all the new things that are made with Feltro when new kids get a hold of it. This has been a great opportunity to try Feltro out in an educational setting with kids ages 4-6 years old.

The Artist Project

Feltro provided hands-on activities for “The Kid Space” during this annual contemporary art fair in Toronto.
